How to Install

Perfect Speed Monitor for a Classic Car

I got this for my son’s 1979 Corvette so he wouldn’t have to pull out his phone to check his speed accuracy. It mounts easily on the dash and works great. The GPS speed reading matches the GPS on my phone almost perfectly, so it seems very well calibrated.Installation was simple—just plug it into the cigarette lighter and place it on the dash. The display is easy to read, and it’s nice that it also shows additional info like direction and trip data. For older vehicles without modern electronics, this is a really useful upgrade.

perfect for a resto-mod vehicle

this little dash gadget is extremely cool and useful! i am restoring an old triumph spitfire, and i am using parts that dont really work tgoether, especially the speedometer/odomter. the GPS speed in this is a great alternative. and it is very accurate and refreshes quickly! the clock, compass, and other info readouts are super useful as well. the inclinometer and tilt gauges are probably more meant for off-road/jeep situations, but still cool to have. the gauge wires easily and looks right at home on top of the dashboard. the screen could be a bit brighter, and some sort of anti-reflective coating would go a long way, but its not too bad in the sun. this is completely universal, and only needs a 12v source to run. overall, a great value!

Quite nice GPS Speedometer, fits perfectly in the dash of my 2004 Eclipse

The media could not be loaded.

This GPS speedometer has a nice large easy to read screen. Installation is as simple as find a place to mount it and using the included double sided tape. An extra piece of tape is included as well. In my car it fit perfectly in the clock pod so I didn't need to use the tape. The speedometer reads about 2 miles too fast at 60 miles an hour compared to the speedometer in my car and another GPS unit I have. But that's close enough for me. I did discover that you must use the power adapter they supply if you want to see the actual voltage of the battery system. If you use a standard USB cable it will still work but will only read 5 volts. I really like this unit and it seems quite solid. The things I wish were different are the inability to disable the loud beep when it powers up and the way too bright light on the power adapter. It can be a bit distracting. And last of all I could find no way to change the units on the altitude measurement from metric to imperial and sadly the display does not indicate what unit is being used.
