FAQ

Q1: What is a Heads-Up Display (HUD)?

A: A Heads-Up Display (HUD) projects essential driving information, like speed, compass directions, and engine alerts, onto your windshield or a separate combiner screen. This allows you to keep your eyes on the road and your hands on the wheel, significantly enhancing driving safety and convenience.

Q2: How does the GPS Heads Up Display work?

A: The GPS HUD has a built-in GPS receiver. This receiver communicates directly with global positioning satellites to determine your vehicle's precise location, speed, and direction. You simply plug the USB cable from the HUD directly into your car's USB power port or acigarette lighter adapter (USB charger) for power. Once powered on, the GPS receiver immediately starts acquiring a signal from the satellites. After a brief initial calibration (which may take 1-3 minutes for the first use), it will begin to display key information by projecting it onto the reflective film or your windshield. This makes the info look like it's floating in front of your car, so you can see your speed and directions without ever looking down.

Q3: Will the Car HUD work with my car?

A: Since the GPS HUD powers via a standard USB port and gets its data from GPS satellites, it is universally compatible with any vehicle that has a USB power source. The K1/K2/K3/H4 GPS HUD is suitable for all car models, trucks, motorcycles, etc.

The OBD2 HUD is compatible with most gasoline cars manufactured after 2008 that are equipped with a standard OBD-II port. It is not typically compatible with fully diesel, hybrid vehicles or electric vehicles (EVs) as they use different data protocols.

Q4: How do I install the GPS HUD?

A: It's incredibly simple! Just follow these three steps:

  1. Driving your car to ouside places, open your car window.
  2. Place the HUD unit on your dashboard.
  3. Plug the provided USB cable into the HUD and then into your car's USB power port or a cigarette lighter USB adapter.

That's it! It's a true "plug and play" experience.

Q5: Does it drain my car battery?

A: No. The HUD only receives power when your car's ignition is on and the USB port is active. When you turn off your car, the USB port almost always turns off too, automatically cutting power to the HUD and preventing any battery drain.

Q6: Can I use it at night?

A: Absolutely. The display features automatic brightness control. It will be bright and clear during the day and automatically dim to a comfortable level for night driving to avoid distracting you.
